So, as of last night, I'm finished with my Dancer Costume!! Yay! I might have to take in the skirt a bit at the hip, but it's done! So I tried it all on today, complete with make-up! I tried to time myself getting ready, and boy do suck at time management when it comes to doing my make up :/ Oh well, pics beneath the cut:

So this weekend I accomplished a lot of costumey stuff for my Dancer. The headband/crown thingy is almost finished, I have to glue 3 more things on it and it's done! I'm still making jewelry, but I can finish that over the weekend. YAY 3-DAY WEEKEND. I have some minor stuff still to do, but thankfully not that much. After I finish my Dancer I really need to clean out my car for the trip up to Baltimore :/

Last night I saw Public Enemies! It was good, but it was long. They could've cut some stuff out, but meh. I didn't get home until 11 last night! :O That's late for a work night!

Random: Roger Bruno'd one of our AE's office yesterday. Which means he taped Bruno posters all over her office and on the windows! You can see them from the sidewalk LOL. And quite clearly. Hehehe When she came in this morning she laughed for about 20 mins! "I have Bruno's Ass staring at me from everywhere!!" LOL

I love it when I think something will be easy peasy, and then it turns out to be a pain in the ass!

I'm making my skirt for my Dancer costume, which is basically a pleated skirt, and I've been stabbed by pins, knocked over things, and, my favorite, BURNED MY HAND WITH THE IRON on it. >:O! Thankfully it's not that bad, but I have nice lil' red line on my right hand. I think it was the side of the metal part of the iron that hit my hand...

And what's funny, is that the pleating, was the easiest part! The waistband and the zipper are being a pain! Thank goodness I pwned the zipper and waistband! Although I could've done the zipper better, but this isn't a "competing" costume, so I don't care. As long as it zips, I'm fine with it :P. Now all I have to do is some hand sewing, ironing, and hemming and the skirt will be done! I have to redo the tube top, it's a wee bit tight :/ I still have to make the accessories, but that shouldn't be too bad... O.o;

So, I had my birthday party on Saturday! Thanks to everyone that came! I took pictures, not many, but I'll post them later! I probably bought too much food, but oh well. Perhaps people could come over next weekend to eat it, since it's too much for me! :D I also have a lot of leftover booze too LOL

Other than that, nothing much. I made dinner for myself already... and there's nothing on TV to watch :/

...I now have an inflatable palm blown up in my family room :P

And, that I also baked 62 mini cupcakes today.

Thanks to everybody who wished me Happy Birthday! :D I had a very nice birthday even though I had to work (but it was cool anyway! I got cupcakes which makes anybody's day better :P). My parents and I went to Carabbas in Centerville and ate yummy foods! I got some sweet gifts too! :D

Today I went food shopping for my party and tried to get more decorations for it too, but apparently Party City closes at 8 and I only had 5 minutes to shop :/ Oh well, there's always tomorrow. I got most of the food, sans alcoholic beverages since I don't need a gallons of Pina Colada mixer and BJ's doesn't sell hard liquor. :P

I did get an inflatable palm tree though! :D I'm quite happy with that LOL.

I haven't really updated lately, except about my party (which you guys should totally go to!) :D May 23rd @ my house! /shameless plug

On Saturday, Roger and I went shopping! We first went to the Super Joann's in Leesburg, where I started buying stuff for one of my Otakon costumes! Then, we went to Best Buy where I bought myself a new TV for my room! It's a Samsung 32" 1080p HDTV! It's really nice, and now all I need is a blu-ray player so my movies look totally awesome!! I wish I got the HD channels in my room but I don't have the receiver thingy. THEN...we went to Party City to buy stuff for my Luau Party! I wanted to buy all these decorations but I don't have the budget for it, or the space to store them. I still want an inflatable palm tree tho :P After that, we went to Joann's in Burke because the Leesburg one didn't have enough fabric for my skirt, so we went there and had no luck...and the cutting lady was in a rather bad mood >:(

We eventually went to dinner at Otani, where they changed their menu. Srsly, Dr. Phil rolls? Super Friend rolls? Lion King rolls? They still have good sushi, even though their wait staff kinda ignored us... :/

Today, I had the day off from work, so my mom and I went shopping! I really haven't been shopping like this in awhile! We went all over the place. We first went to Joann's and picked up some material, then to the mall, then to Costco, then to Whole Foods! I was trying to find, what I call, the forbidden Ginger Ale but I couldn't find it!!! D: I'm going to have to empty out Potbelly for it. So under the cut, are pictures of things I've bought today and recently got that I thought I'd share! :D

On Saturday I went to the festival, dressed in my yukata! I put it on right! I also did some fancy makeup but no one really saw it because I had my sunglasses on pretty much the whole time. I had fun and actually bought something this year, before the crowds came in full swing! I got another bobble head kitty! :D I'll hopefully post pictures soon, I was far to lazy yesterday to do anything. And hopefully I can steal some pics from Junior and Dave of me in my yukata too! :D

Roger and I, along with Erin & Co. walked down to see the cherry blossoms and took some pictures. And then after that Roger and I left. We went to Trader Joe's and Wegmans to find this brand of ginger ale that IS SO GOOD. But alas! No luck! D:

YAY 4 DAY WORK WEEK! :D

So, lately I've been running on the treadmill 3 days a week for half an hour (actually, you know, RUNNING, not walking). I finally have my routine down, and now my ankle is f-ed up! >:( I don't know what I did to it, but it's hurting a lot at the moment, and it didn't like me running tonight! I'm kinda bummed, because I finally have a routine and stuff down, and now my ankle is being a baby :O I'm going to see if it will heal itself in the coming week, if it doesn't stop, I'm going to have to get it checked out, which sucks, because I hate doctors. :P

So now, the only exercises I can do is strength training. Ugh. I like running! D:

But hey, at least I've lost 5 pounds. :D

Oh yeah, I'm going to the Cherry Blossom Festival this weekend in my new yukata! I managed to get it on last night and not look like crap, I'm just having trouble with the pre-tied obi/bow thinger. I'll get it eventually!!

I'm so happy, now I need to see what costumes I'm gonna bring and stuff! I finally got the time off I would need to from work (I kept procrastinating on telling my boss :P), and I'm rooming/riding down with Erin & Co.!

In other news...I have nothing. :/ I'm still not currently sewing anything, but hopefully that will change soon! I got paid today, so I can pay off my credit card! Even though half my bill is because of my glasses...Damn things are expensive!

Anyway, I didn't do much today, besides take playing with my camera. I got really bored and started kicking a soccer ball around but I had no one to play with. :( So I ran on the treadmill for half an hour. :/

Okay, so I'm used to people who can't park very well at Metro. Add some snow to the mix and ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE. So, I parked my car next to another car (on the driver's side) because I couldn't see the parking spaces. I did what a normal person with common sense would do. However, a van managed to park in a space near me, but not next to me leaving a gap that wasn't big enough for a car (maybe for a MINI). I leave happily because I thought no one was stupid enough to park there...

WELL I WAS WRONG.



A SUV PARKED NEXT TO ME. (I'm the car on the left). I was standing there wondering...How did the guy get out? O.o; And then, what if I had a passenger?

OH HAI U GUYZ, I UPDATED MY WEBSITE!!! Please go check it out when you have the time! Also excuse the layout if looks wonky on your screen, I'm (and Roger) still trying to figure out why it jumps, but I've temporarily "fixed" it. But anyway, all of my convention photos are up (including Katsu 2009! :D) And all of my costumes are updated! Sorry for not updating it in so long. I KNOW YOU GUYS WERE JUST WAITING IN ANTICIPATION! LOL

Random observation: Why do women feel the need to walk around Tyson's with 5 inch high heels on?! Do they not know how BIG TYSON'S CORNER IS?! I go to the mall to shop, not to have my feet hurt. Also, Tyson's wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be for a Saturday...WTF.

So, this weekend I decided to reorganize my room. For those of you that have been in my room, all of my beanie babies are no longer on the shelves along the ceiling! They are now in 2 big bins that I will put into storage (I can't throw them away!) In their place I put all of my DVD's, Hello Kitties, random Animu plushies, and cute plushies up there :P So now I have Hello Kitties staring at me instead of 100's of Beanie Babies LOL.

I've also been working on Bethiichan.com, because good lord, I haven't updated that in a looooong time. I got a Flickr account because I was getting tired of making thumbnails and resizing and stuff. Flickr does it for me LOL. AND I CAN MAKE SETS! I didn't like photobucket, and with Flickr, uploading is easy! :D But anyway, I still have a few things left to do, hopefully I will get it up over the weekend!

Okay, now to plan costumes for the rest of the year...mostly my steampunk.
